We’re excited to share our new features designed to make your Kubernetes management easier and more secure. From improved configuration protection and streamlined deployments to better user data tracking and enhanced vulnerability scanning, these updates are here to boost reliability and simplify your operations. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new!

🔐 Enhanced Configuration Protection with Granular Approvals

Previously, Devtron provided a feature to protect configurations, where users could not modify the configurations without approval. Devtron has expanded on the approval criteria for this feature. Users can now set multiple approvals required from a specific user group. Now users have an option to add a specific person for approval of the changes in configurations. This can help you divide approval access among team members. This fine-grained approach allows for more flexible permission management based on team roles and responsibilities. Along with the Approval for Deployments this feature can now be accessed at Global Configurations.

📊 Streamlined UI for Tracking Deleted User Data

Administrators rejoice! Devtron’s latest feature introduces a user-friendly button for exporting inactive user data in CSV format, complementing the existing functionality for active users. This enhancement ensures consistent data presentation and simplifies the process of tracking and managing user accounts. Perfect for conducting user audits and maintaining compliance reporting, this feature makes administrative tasks more efficient.

🚀 One-Click Deployments Across Multiple Environments

Say goodbye to deployment complexities! With our new feature, you can now execute deployments across multiple environments and regions with just a single click. Whether managing identical deployments, updating configurations, or releasing hotfixes, this one-click solution ensures consistency and minimizes manual effort. Rapidly deploy critical updates and maintain operational efficiency across all environments.

🔍 Integrate Vulnerability Scanning Tools Effortlessly

Devtron has expanded its vulnerability scanning capabilities! Now, users can seamlessly integrate their preferred vulnerability scanning tools alongside our existing options, Trivy and Clair. Configure tools like Docker Scout and AWS Inspector to enhance your CI pipelines, automatically scanning container images for vulnerabilities and generating detailed reports. Enjoy greater flexibility in security while maintaining a smooth workflow.

🛠️ Bulk Change Image Sources via Application Groups

Boost your developer productivity with our new bulk operation feature! Devtron now allows you to change image sources across multiple applications effortlessly, whether transitioning from Sync with CD to Build and Deploy from Source Code or vice versa. Streamline your workflow and modify image sources efficiently.

🏷️ Propagate Tags as Labels in CI and Jobs

Enhance your resource management with expanded tagging capabilities! Previously restricted to the CD stage, tags can now be propagated as Kubernetes labels throughout the CI stage and Jobs. This feature simplifies tracking, filtering, and organizing CI jobs based on their associated tags. Additionally, take advantage of consolidated billing analysis for CI resources with Kubernetes cost monitoring tools like Kubecost.

🔍 Target Platform Visibility in Artifact and Pod Logs

Improve your debugging process with enhanced visibility! Our latest feature displays target platform information (linux/arm64, linux/amd64) in both artifact and pod logs. Quickly identify the platform for which an artifact was built, facilitating smoother operations and troubleshooting.

🏗️ Build Infrastructure Configuration for Multi-Architecture Builds

This enhancement to Build Infrastructure configuration features brings support for architecture-specific resource configurations for multi-arch image builds. Users can precisely define different infrastructure requirements for each target architecture (like arm64, and amd64) within the same application, ensuring optimal resource allocation for their multi-architecture builds. This granular control enables more efficient resource utilization and better performance across different architectural builds.

🚫 Mandatory Tags for Compliance

Devtron’s mandatory tags feature has been significantly enhanced! Now, you can block deployments if required tags are missing, ensuring strict compliance with tagging policies. Use system variables as tag values for dynamic assignments, and predefine allowed options for tag values to maintain standardized tagging selections. Create a cohesive tagging strategy to prevent inconsistencies across your projects. With these exciting new features, Devtron is committed to making your CI/CD processes more efficient, secure, and user-friendly. Upgrade your workflows today!
